Laundry Facilities East Lake Management - 2.7 Chicago, IL Job Details Full-time $16.60 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Monitoring machines Removing debris Safety regulations Mops Laundry dryer machines Machine cleaning Compliance monitoring Equipment inspection Restroom cleaning Entry level Full Job Description Laundry Attendant The attendant must be a resident and shall monitor the daily operations of the site ensuring the laundry facility is maintained with the safety and sanitary standards set by the CHA. The attendant will report to the Property Manager. Duties and responsibility will include, but not be limited to the following:  Ensure facility is available for residents to start washing promptly at 8:00 a.m.  Ensure that the facility is closed at its scheduled time daily.  Monitor compliance with laundry room rules and regulations and report incidents of probable non-compliance to the Property Manager  Inspect equipment to determine what is operable and inoperable a. If equipment is inoperable, attendant shall report it to the Property Manager and place an out of order sign on equipment b. Assist residents with regard to proper use of laundry cards and equipment c. Ensure all washers, dryers, sinks, tables and restrooms are clean throughout the work day d. Clean lint traps on dryers e. Wipe the equipment down daily f. Monitor vending machine to avoid vandalism and improper use  Monitor for improper use of equipment a. No sitting on folding tables b. No sitting on washers and dryers c. No children left unattended  Report incidents of loitering and possible criminal activity to Property Manager  Ensure scooters, bicycles and motorized cars do not enter laundry facilities  Remove laundry debris, empty laundry containers, empty pop bottles, potato chip bags and any other unwanted trash from floor and equipment. Mop floor, clean interior glass and wipe down walls as needed  Monitor the use of laundry facility to ensure only authorized residents 16 years of age or older are using the equipment.  Report all maintenance issues to Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor a. Cleanliness of bathroom b. Dirty floor c. Inoperable equipment d. Toiletries needed Other duties may be assigned as required.
