Laundry Attendant

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for operating all aspects of the laundry area.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Sort linens into appropriate groups for washing, separate stained linen from other dirty linen, treat according to policy and procedures. Ensure proper load sizes. Remove clean linen from washers and place in dryers. Clean washers and dryers, check drums and replenish cleaning agents, and clean lint traps on dryer. Remove linens from dryers, fold, and place in appropriate storage rack/room. Log discarded linen on "discarded linen" sheet. Maintain immediate work area. Keep shelves and supplies well stocked and organized, inform supervisor of shortages in inventory or supplies. May assist housekeepers with cleaning duties; including collecting and delivering soiled linens to laundry room. Notify supervisor of all equipment breakdowns. Provide the highest quality of service to the guests. Follow all safety procedures and policies for all guests and employees. Report any unusual occurrences or requests to a supervisor immediately. Attend and participate in staff meetings.

Pay:

$14.00 - $15.00 per hour
