Laundry Attendant

A Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Typical Duties Include:

Maintain a constant supply of clean linens Perform all stages of linen processing, including, but not limited to, collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading (washers, dryers and chutes), ironing, folding, storing and delivering Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry area Maintain stock levels Respond to guest service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner Perform additional laundry services, as needed May be required to assist in housekeeping functions, as need May be required to perform other functions assigned by manager, as needed. Job Requirements Must be able to stand in work station for up to 7 hours per shift. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to push and pull carts up to 250 pounds often throughout the shift. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch on a regular basis. Must be able to understand and follow directions in the spoken language of the work area. Must be able to travel to various areas of the hotel to pick/deliver linen items in allotted time provided. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends and holidays. May be required to wear a lumbar support belt to prevent lifting injuries.
