Job Description

Clean, crisp and fresh linen sets the tone for an exceptional guest experience! As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for washing, drying, folding, and organizing linen and terry. A laundry attendant ensures that clean linens are supplied to the entire hotel in a timely manner. Among the responsibilities include collecting and sorting dirty linen; washing, drying, and folding bed linens and terry as well as other textile items used by hotel teams. Laundry attendant also removes stains from products by adhering to the manufacturer's processes and use of commercial cleaning products. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment along with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members.
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
Working in Laundry (washing, folding, & organizing bed linen, towels, wash cloths, bathmats, etc.) Maintaining cleanliness and good condition of all equipment Ensuring proper use of chemicals and preset formulas for wash cycles is maintained Follow load / weight guidelines for wash/ dry cycles Ensure proper Drying cycles are maintained and dryer filters cleaned as prescribed Proper use of PPE is required Assist the Maintenance department when needed Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive and timely manner Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact and a friendly verbal greeting Assist other associates to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards Report missing hotel property and damages to hotel areas to department manager Perform other miscellaneous jobs as requested by department manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS 6
+ months of prior cleaning experience preferred Customer service experience is required, preferably in a hotel or related customer facing field Must be able to bend, stoop and lift Must be reliable; willing to work weekends and holidays Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with guests Ability to learn quickly and work in fast paced position with constant guest interaction Must be able to multi-task Must be 18 years or older
