Job Description Halifax Linen Service is seeking a dependable Soil Room Laundry Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for sorting and separating soiled linens so they can be processed through our industrial laundry systems. This position works in a fast-paced production environment and plays a key role in preparing linens for cleaning and processing. What You'll Do Sort and separate soiled linens for processing Feed linens into automated sorting and conveyor systems Load and move linen carts throughout the production area Assist with folding, packaging, and cart loading when needed Perform basic machine setup and inspections before operation Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE Maintain a clean and organized work area Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods while performing repetitive tasks Lift 50+ pounds regularly Push and pull carts weighing 100-600 pounds Bend, reach, kneel, and squat throughout the shift Ability to work in hot, humid, or cold production environments Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or laundry experience preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment Strong reliability and attendance Additional Information Must be able to work flexible hours based on production needs Reliable transportation to work is required Employees are eligible for two pay increases within the first 90 days when production goals are met during the probationary period Benefits 401(K) Dental Insurance Major Medical Paid time Off (PTO) Vision Insurance
