Interpersonal Competencies:

Must acknowledge every guest encountered with appropriate gesture (i.e. nod) and smile Must communicate and perform effectively with all hotel guests and employees Must have basic reading, writing, and math skills to read room assignments, complete checklists, and replace room linens and amenities Must be able to work alone or as part of a team Functional Competencies Separate, clean, fold and stack linens according to brand standard.

This includes:

sheets, towel, curtains, tablecloths, rags, etc. Skillfully operate laundering equipment with safety in mind and always keeping work area clean and safe Handle, store and safely maintain supply of laundry chemicals in line with hotel regulations and any local legislative requirements Check linens for damage and stains, pre-treating stains when necessary Communicate the status of linen inventory to Executive Housekeeper and/or Room Inspector on a continual basis Help ensure laundry operations run smoothly by alerting the supervisor when equipment stops operating properly or if supplies are needed Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions Follow established safety procedures at all times. Immediately report any health and safety incident, security breaches, concerns or suspicious behavior to the supervisor or manager on duty Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects Perform other duties as assigned by management Physical Requirements Frequently lift items weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 pounds Frequent pushing/pulling of housekeeping and laundry carts Frequently standing and moving about the facility Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, reaching and walking Hourly rate is commensurate with experience. MUST be able to work day and evening shift. We are open 365 days per year so you will be scheduled to work some weekends and some holidays. MUST be able to pass a pre-employment DRUG TEST and
