LAUNDRY TECH JOB DESCRIPTION

Laundry Technicians support the company's operational goals by ensuring the efficient cleaning, handling, and processing of linens to uphold high cleanliness standards for guest satisfaction. Working at various stations throughout the laundry facility, this role involves sorting, treating, washing, drying, folding, wrapping, and transporting linens and amenities. Laundry Technicians play a key role in reducing linen loss by identifying and pre-treating stains before laundering. They may also pack linen and amenity bags for the housekeeping team, assist with receiving and organizing supply shipments, and help maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment. This is a fast-paced, physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, efficiency, and teamwork.

ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONSOperational Support Sort soiled laundry based on color, fabric type, and soil level. Identify, pre-treat, and process stained items to prevent linen loss. Load and unload commercial washers and dryers, ensuring safe and efficient operation. Fold, wrap, and prepare clean linens according to established standards. Transport large volumes of laundry between stations within the warehouse. Assist in packing linen and amenity bags for the housekeeping team. Help unload, organize, and store shipments of housekeeping supplies. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry and housekeeping warehouse areas. Accurately complete shift reports and submit documentation to the Laundry Supervisor. Safety Follow all FLPP safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Maintain up-to-date safety documentation and records. Practice safe handling and movement of heavy loads and chemicals. Support compliance with DOL, EEOC, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.

Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and quality. Ability to learn and follow established laundry processes and standards. Excellent time management and organization skills. Strong work ethic and ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting with repetitive tasks. Flexible availability including weekends and holidays. Reliable transportation required; valid NYS driver's license preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in a warehouse environment and may occasionally require travel to office or property locations. The role involves exposure to temperature extremes (heat, cold, humidity, wind, rain) and allergens (dust, pollen, mold, chemicals).

Physical requirements include:

Repetitive hand, arm, and body movements Frequent bending, reaching, lifting (50+ lbs), and carrying Pushing and pulling carts and loads up to 150 lbs Standing for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks
