Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Housekeeper
JOB SUMMARY
Inspects, washes, folds, and stores all laundered supplies for Rooms and Food and Beverage.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides clean linen for guest rooms.
  • Provides clean linen for Food and Beverage.
  • Separates linen according to classification, fabric and color.
  • Counts all soiled linen and records the totals.
  • Operates washers and dryers pursuant to established procedures.
  • Loads and unloads washers and dryers.
  • Sorts stained linen for soaking and rewashing.
  • Folds, stacks, hangs and stores all laundered linen.
  • Separates, counts and discards damaged linen.
  • Records discarded linen in discard file.
  • Cleans dryer filters as scheduled.
  • Sews linen, pillows or other linen when necessary, including uniforms.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions promptly to the supervisor.
  • Keeps supplies and storage area orderly at all times.
  • Cleans all equipment and work area daily.
  • Maintains par stock of laundry and cleaning supplies - informs housekeeper of supplies needed.
  • Assists with monthly inventories.
  • Prepares laundry bags for guest rooms.
  • Reports any hazardous conditions or malfunctions of equipment to Executive or Assistant Housekeeper.
  • Answers telephone and relays messages.
  • Turns in lost and found items.
Performs other related and unrelated tasks as assigned by management
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Environmental Conditions:
Inside:
Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Essential Skills:
Knowledge of applicable franchise standards and procedures. Ability to maintain records and communicate effectively with Supervisor of Laundry and other employees.
Educational/Vocational Preparation:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Ability to follow schedule and ability to perform physical labor/varied duties.
