Job Description

Corry Memorial Hospital is seeking a per diem laundry aide to assist on an as needed basis. (Additional hours may be available in the housekeeping department if candidate is interested.) Job summary: To perform sorting, washing, drying and finishing functions of the laundry department as assigned while maintaining linen inventory and distribution.
Characteristic job tasks and responsibilities:
Collect and sort soiled linen from all areas of hospital. Load and unload washing machines and dryers prior to folding laundry. Issue, store, and inventory hospital linen for all departments. Fill departmental requisitions by counting, assembling, and placing on carts for delivery to assigned departments. Inventory linen items periodically to determine replacement needs in order to maintain adequate supply. Assist in cleaning machines, floors and other cleaning duties as assigned by supervisor.
