Part Time Laundry attendant

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all laundry and linen needs are met with efficiency, cleanliness, and attention to detail. Weekends are required Friday, Saturday and Sunday 2pm- 10pm Duties Operate laundry machines and equipment to wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and guest clothing efficiently. Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure proper handling. Cleaning public areas of the hotel on a daily basis that includes mopping the first floor areas every shift. Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing machines and work surfaces regularly. Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies such as detergents, fabric softeners, and cleaning agents; notify management when supplies need replenishing. Follow safety procedures when handling chemicals and operating machinery to ensure a safe working environment. Assist with special requests from guests or staff related to laundry services promptly and professionally. Qualifications Previous experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided. ~Weekends are required year round. Knowledge of laundry processes including washing, drying, folding techniques. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify stains or fabric issues requiring special care. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting laundry carts or heavy loads safely. Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and safety protocols related to chemical handling. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods.
