Job Description

Under the direction of the commissary manager, direct the commissary, laundry and barber/beauty operations within a correctional environment. Supervise the laundry operations. Train and oversee all inmate workers. Ensure proper procedures are utilized. Maintain equipment. Assist the commissary manager with supply distribution. Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of barber equipment. Order and stock necessary equipment and supplies. Develop and implement a system to reduce and/or eliminate theft of laundry items. Assist in accountability of records inventories, weekly recaps, postings and SCEIS entries. Respond to request to staff. Perform duties of manager in their absence. Schedule subject to change. Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
