Job Description

West Tennessee Post-Acute, located in Jackson, TN. CMS-certified since 1986, our skilled nursing facility offers 67 private rooms and specialized transitional care to help patients recover after hospital stays. Position Overview:
The Laundry Staff provide the day-to-day activities of the laundry department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility and to assure that an adequate supply of laundry/linen is on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents. Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical. Coordinate daily laundry services with other departments in the facility. Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner. Ensure that an adequate supply of clean linen is maintained in linen closets. Ensure that equipment is cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift. Maintain the confidentiality of all resident information.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred Previous laundry or environmental services experience a plus (healthcare setting experience preferred but not required) Ability to follow safety guidelines and infection control procedures Strong attention to detail and reliability in completing tasks Physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment or supplies
