GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Central Laundry Supervisor and/or Crew Leader, collects, sorts, washes, dries, and folds all laundry from throughout the facility. Ensures the sanitation of all soiled linen. Ensures proper operation of all laundry equipment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Must be able to read, speak, and write English. Laundry experience preferred but not required.

ESSENTIALS OF JOB

1. Collects, sorts, washes, dries, and folds designated laundry in the facilities, and operates all laundry equipment (including washer, dryer, iron, and folder) to meet these requirements in a safe and efficient manner. (frequently) 2. Maintain infection control and sanitation in collecting, washing, drying, and sorting of laundry. (constantly) 3. Communicate with supervisor regarding needs of linens and washing materials. (frequently) 4. Maintain daily inventories of linen and assuring proper levels of linen in storage utilities. (constantly) 5. Follow proper procedures and schedules as required by supervisor. (constantly) 6. Perform other related duties as assigned. (occasionally) 7. Must use personal protective equipment (PPE). (occasionally) 8. Must be able to work overtime as needed up to 8 hours weekly. (occasionally) 9. Must be able to commit the time necessary from an attendance and punctuality standpoint to accomplish the above specified Essentials of Job. (constantly)
