Laundry Attendant

Position Summary The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring all linens, towels, uniforms, and laundry items are cleaned, organized, and distributed in a timely and professional manner. This role supports the overall cleanliness and comfort of Camp Cold Springs by maintaining high sanitation and presentation standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, uniforms, and other camp laundry items Operate commercial washers, dryers, and laundry equipment safely and efficiently Sort laundry by color, fabric, and cleaning requirements Inspect items for stains, damage, or excessive wear and report issues to management Maintain inventory of linens and laundry supplies Keep laundry facilities clean, organized, and sanitary at all times Restock housekeeping closets and designated storage areas as needed Follow proper safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures Assist housekeeping team with additional cleaning duties when necessary Ensure timely turnaround of laundry to support daily camp operations Qualifications Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality experience preferred but not required Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods of time Reliable attendance and positive attitude Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed Working Conditions Indoor laundry facility with exposure to heat, humidity, cleaning chemicals, and noise from equipment Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and repetitive motions required Camp Cold Springs Expectations All employees are expected to maintain a positive attitude, provide excellent service to guests and fellow team members, and contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming camp environment.
