Linen Department Supervisor Job Summary:
Prime Medical Services in El Paso is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Linen Sorter to join our Linen Services Department. The Linen Sorter plays a key role in supporting hospital and medical operations by ensuring all linens are properly sorted, processed, and prepared for cleaning. This is a fast-paced role requiring efficiency, organization, and strict adherence to hygiene protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and sort soiled linens by type and contamination level. Inspect linens for stains, tears, and foreign objects; report damaged items. Stage linens for washing in accordance with facility standards. Use proper PPE and follow infection control procedures at all times. Maintain cleanliness and safety in the linen sorting area. Support inventory tracking and assist in linen distribution as needed. Follow all safety and sanitation policies as set by Prime Medical Services.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in healthcare or industrial laundry a plus. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods. Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Punctual, reliable, and safety-conscious.
Work Conditions:
Indoor laundry facility within a healthcare support environment. Frequent lifting, bending, and repetitive motion. Exposure to soiled linens and cleaning agents (PPE provided).
