The hotel laundry attendant manages the cleaning, sorting, folding, and distributing of linens, towels, and bedding to ensure guest rooms are supplied. Key duties include operating industrial washers/dryers, stain treatment, maintaining inventory, and cleaning the laundry area, with roles requiring high physical stamina and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities Linen Processing:

Sorting, washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens, towels, and uniforms.

Stain Management:

Treating stains on linens using specific cleaning agents.

Inventory & Supplies:

Tracking linen inventory, monitoring cleaning supplies, and reporting shortages or damaged items.

Maintenance:

Cleaning and maintaining commercial laundry machines, such as cleaning dryer filters.

Safety & Sanitation:

Operating machines according to safety protocols and keeping the workspace clean.

Skills and Qualifications Physical Stamina:

Ability to lift heavy laundry bags, stand for long periods, and work in warm conditions.

Efficiency:

Ability to manage high volumes of laundry during busy times.

Detail-Oriented:

Ensuring high-quality cleaning standards and proper folding, particularly for fitted sheets.

Knowledge:

Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and chemical agents.

Job Requirements Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is often required.

Experience:

Previous hotel housekeeping or laundry experience is preferred by many employers.

Schedule:
