Laundry Attendant

The Jefferson Hotel is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. This role is responsible for the proper laundering, pressing, and folding of all hotel linens while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. The ideal candidate is reliable, efficient, and takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality work in a positive and resourceful manner.

Key Requirements Availability:

MUST be able to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, with availability between 7 AM and PM based on business needs.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motion throughout the shift.

Experience:

Previous laundry, housekeeping, or cleaning experience preferred, especially in a hospitality setting.

Professionalism:

Must maintain a neat appearance and demonstrate reliability, consistency, and a strong work ethic. Duties & Responsibilities Perform the laundering, pressing, and folding of all hotel linens in accordance with established standards Sort, wash, dry, and process linens, uniforms, and terry with attention to quality and care Inspect items for stains, damage, or wear and remove from circulation as needed Operate all laundry equipment properly and safely to ensure efficiency and prevent damage or accidents Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry facility at all times Adhere strictly to all MSDS guidelines for safe handling of chemicals Follow all Jefferson Hotel and departmental standards, policies, and procedures Report safety concerns and provide suggestions for operational improvements Assist with distribution of clean linens to appropriate departments as needed Monitor supply levels and communicate needs to leadership Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support daily operations Qualifications Strong attention to detail and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Traits of a Successful Candidate Takes pride in quality and consistency of work Reliable and consistent in daily performance Organized and detail-oriented Team-focused and willing to support overall operations Why Work Here At The Jefferson Hotel, the Laundry team plays an essential role in delivering a polished and comfortable guest experience.
