Job Description

Laundry Aide Fulltime Schedule:
Friday 6am - 1pm
Saturday & Sunday:
6am - 6pm Job Summary Alaska Gardens Health and Rehabilitation Center in is seeking a Laundry Aide responsible for assisting in all aspects of laundering resident clothing and facility linens.
Essential Functions:
Folding and distributing clean linens. Inspecting mechanical lift slings and sling straps for fraying and wear. Keeping residents' closet/drawer areas orderly. Cleaning dryer lint screens. Demonstrating adherence to OSHA and CDC guidelines to minimize infections by following aseptic techniques including those that apply to blood borne pathogens. Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and overtime, to meet the position's requirements.
Education, Licensure, & Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other employees. Has compassion and special interest in working with the senior population.
