Friday-Tuesday 7:30am-4:00pm

Position Summary:

Washes linens by use of industrial washer and dryer machines for the Health Center residents and eliseo departments by performing the following duties.

Qualifications:

Previous Laundry Experience / Environmental Services Experience Dependable Transportation High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for washing clothes in a manner that will not damage either linens or machinery. Wears gloves and aprons while handling soiled linens. Follows standard procedures for washing linens by following item specific wash instructions. Follows proper and safe method of loading/unloading machines. Avoids overloading of wash and dryer machines. Separates and sorts facility linens and places in proper receptacles. Adjusts temperature on dryer appropriate to linen load. Understands function of various soaps and bleaches. Reports malfunctioning of machines to supervisor and puts in work order request. Retrieves soiled barrels from linen closets. Folds and loads linen carts with clean linens. Keeps work area clean and orderly at all times.
