Employees have access to great benefits, amenity usage, and so much more! The Laundry Attendant is responsible for processing linens, terry, blankets, spreads - including staining, washing, drying, folding and returning to shelves for re-stocking. This is a part- or full-time position with day, night and weekend availability. Essential duties and tasks of the position include but are not limited: Has the ability to perform all duties of room attendant, room inspector, bathroom and common area attendant. Ensures all terry and linens are washed, dried, folded, and stored properly and in a timely manner. Observes machine operations and reports malfunctions or any mechanical problems to supervisor. Ensures all washers / dryers are loaded to appropriate levels. Ensures laundry chemicals are properly hooked to equipment. Informs manager if laundry needs to be re-stocked. Sorts laundry when possible from laundry carts. Cleans filters of dryers. Tracks discarded linens and reports to supervisor. Informs supervisor when chemicals need to be changed. Utilizes chemicals according to directions and familiarizes self with all material safety data sheets. Follows procedures concerning protection against blood borne pathogens. Practices safety procedures, including bending, lifting, and safe use of equipment. Reports hazardous conditions in work area or equipment to management. Keeps work area cleaned and organized.
