Environmental Service Technician (Housekeeping/Laundry)

Environmental Services Technician (Housekeeping/Laundry) Roane General Hospital in Spencer, WV a Critical Access Hospital with 35 SNF/ICF beds, 25 acute care beds, Level IV Trauma Emergency Department, three Rural Health Clinics and a walk-in clinic is currently seeking applicants for an Environmental Services Technician - Housekeeping/Laundry.

Qualifications:

EVS Techs perform cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting of all facility areas daily. Applicant must be a motivated self-starter and a resourceful problem solver, have a strong work ethic, and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Applicant must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have the ability to work well with others in a team effort and have the ability to work on own. Must be able to occasionally assist and/or lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 100 pounds. Prior experience and training in Healthcare EVS services and or Floor maintenance is preferred but not required. Must have to ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and specific instructions and policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, correspondence and complete daily log of work completed & delivery reports. Must have the ability to add, subtract and multiply, using whole numbers. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Education and/or experience:
