Responsibilities Perform professional nail care services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and intricate nail art designs. Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable nail treatments and styles. Maintain strict sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients and staff. Stay updated on the latest trends in nail design, color theory, and techniques to offer innovative services. Upsell additional services like body waxing, eyelash extensions, or esthetic laser treatments to enhance client satisfaction. Manage retail sales of nail products, skincare items, and accessories while applying retail math principles for optimal sales performance. Communicate effectively with clients to build lasting relationships, ensuring a positive experience that encourages repeat visits. Skills Strong knowledge of color theory for creating visually appealing nail designs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Proficiency in sanitation practices to uphold health standards in a salon setting. Formal training in cosmetology or nail care certification from an accredited program. Experience with advanced techniques such as gel application, acrylics, and nail art. Knowledge of hair extensions, hair styling, hair threading, body waxing, dermabrasion, and esthetic laser treatments is a plus. Ability to perform retail sales effectively through upselling and understanding retail math principles. Familiarity with eyelash extensions and barbering techniques enhances service offerings.
