The ideal candidate is an experienced nail professional with a strong ability to teach and motivate adult learners. This role focuses on delivering high-quality instruction in nail technology , ensuring students develop the technical skills, sanitation habits, professionalism, and state-board readiness needed to succeed in the industry. Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans focused on nail technology , including manicures, pedicures, natural nail care, gel polish, acrylics, hard gel, dip systems, and nail enhancements. Teach and demonstrate proper sanitation, disinfection, and safety procedures in accordance with state regulations and industry standards. Provide hands-on instruction in areas such as nail shaping, cuticle care, product application, e-file (if applicable), nail art, and client consultation. Instruct students on nail disorders and diseases , basic anatomy of the hand/foot, and when to refer clients appropriately. Train students on professional skills including customer service, time management, retail/product knowledge, pricing, and workplace readiness. Evaluate student progress through practical assessments, written assignments, and skill check-offs; provide clear, constructive feedback and coaching. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom/lab environment; ensure tools, stations, and products are properly set up and maintained. Stay current with nail trends, products, and techniques to strengthen curriculum and keep training industry-relevant. Support school initiatives such as attendance tracking, student documentation, and preparation for exams and licensure requirements. Requirements Proven expertise in nail services, including manicures, pedicures, gel applications, and nail enhancements (acrylic, hard gel, dip, tips/forms, etc.). Strong understanding of infection control , sanitation, and state board standards. Prior teaching, training, mentoring, or classroom experience (adult education preferred). Excellent communication and classroom management skills with the ability to teach students at different skill levels. Ability to plan lessons, demonstrate techniques clearly, and provide consistent student evaluations. Active Nail Technician license (and/or Instructor license if required by your state) in good standing. Knowledge of basic esthetics related to hands/feet (skin care fundamentals) is a plus.
