The fit model works directly with technical designers, the design team, and sales, participating in fittings, proto reviews, and showroom meetings throughout the product calendar. Schedule Monday through Friday, standard business hours. The role is fully on-site in New York, NY.
Compensation:
$80,000 - $100,000 Per Year What You'll Do As the in-house fit model, you will try on garments across multiple product categories and lines at various stages of development, from early prototypes through final production samples. Your primary function is to provide clear, detailed feedback to technical designers on fit, movement, ease, and overall wearability so that corrections can be identified and communicated accurately to the production team. You will participate in regular fitting sessions with the technical design team as well as line and proto review meetings that include design and sales staff. You will also be present in showroom settings for meetings with buyers, where you may be asked to wear finished samples for review. Discretion regarding unreleased designs and upcoming collections is expected throughout. Required Qualifications Prior experience working as a fit model in an apparel or fashion industry setting Ability to provide clear, articulate verbal feedback on garment fit, movement, and construction Familiarity with fit terminology and the technical design or product development process Reliability and availability for regularly scheduled fitting sessions and ad hoc fittings as needed Professional conduct in showroom and buyer-facing settings Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding unreleased designs and collections Preferred Qualifications Experience fitting Missy or contemporary women's apparel categories Prior work with in-house technical design teams (as opposed to agency or freelance fit work) Familiarity with garment construction, pattern terminology, or technical specification sheets Experience participating in line reviews, proto reviews, or showroom presentations Compensation and Benefits Competitive base compensation commensurate with experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off and company holidays To apply, submit your resume and any relevant fit modeling experience, including brands or categories you have worked with previously.
