The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Salon Manager, who is responsible for all facets of salon operations. This position provides leadership and tools for staff to help them increase their clientele and enhance business performance. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for delivering all hair care services offered by Supercuts, ensuring the highest quality of guest service standards and salon profitability. This role involves providing guests with excellent service, conducting quality consultations, and ensuring that clients can replicate their desired looks at home. The Assistant Manager must possess a current cosmetology or barber license and a manager license as required by state or provincial regulations. They should be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and must excel in providing exceptional guest service. Administrative tasks such as completing schedules, managing transactions, and performing light housekeeping duties are also part of the role. The Assistant Manager is expected to resolve guest issues effectively and lead and develop a team, fostering a positive work environment while training staff on both business and technical competencies. Responsibilities Support the Salon Manager in all facets of salon operations. Provide leadership and tools for staff to increase clientele and business. Deliver all hair care services offered by Supercuts. Ensure the highest quality of guest service standards and salon profitability. Conduct quality consultations with guests to understand their needs. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling and managing transactions. Resolve guest issues effectively and efficiently. Lead and develop a team, creating a positive work environment. Requirements Current cosmetology or barber license and manager license as required by state/provincial regulations. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Exceptional guest service skills, understanding guest needs and providing quality consultations. Ability to perform administrative tasks such as completing schedules and transactions. Ability to resolve guest issues effectively. Experience in team development and leadership. Nice-to-haves Experience in a salon management role. Knowledge of salon operations and profitability strategies. Minimal Qualifications:
Current cosmetology or barber license and manager license as required by state/provincial regulations Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends Ability to provide exceptional guest service, understanding the guest's needs, providing quality consultations and performing services requested in an efficient and professional manner. Ability to perform administrative tasks such as completing schedules and transactions on the computerized register, performing close-out procedures and light housekeeping duties (Banking Procedures, Inventory for salons, staff meetings). Ability to resolve guest issues Ability to effectively lead and develop a team, creating a positive work environment, training and providing guidance on business and technical competency matters and resolving associate issues
Physical Requirements:
Standing for sustained periods of time Frequent lifting up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds Continuous repetitive movement with fingers, hands, wrists and arms. Continuous grasping and reaching, often above shoulder level Ability to be exposed to various chemicals and fragrances used in performing services Ability to observe guest's hair, including close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus Ability to communicate with guest regarding services offered and requested and the guest's needs and wants Occasional travel to meetings out of town, sometimes over night You are submitting your information for potential employment opportunities with an independent franchisee of Regis Corporation or one of its subsidiaries (collectively "Regis").
