THE OPPORTUNITY
We are not hiring someone to sit at a front desk. We are hiring someone to own the operational foundation of a fast-moving, detail-driven boutique salon. The Salon Coordinator at Anita Kurl is the person clients trust when they walk in, the person stylists rely on to keep the day running, and the person management counts on to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN THE CLIENT EXPERIENCE
Own the complete client experience from arrival to departure — not just the moments at the front desk. Greet clients by name. Know their service and stylist before they reach the desk. Make every client feel seen and taken care of. Execute check-in and check-out in Boulevard with accuracy — add-ons, products, referral discounts, gift cards, and account credits handled correctly every time. Execute the Three P's at every checkout without exception: Pre-Book, Promote the referral program, Product conversation.
APPOINTMENT MANAGEMENT & FINANCIAL SYSTEMS
Book and manage the schedule using Smart Booking principles — the right service, the right stylist, no unnecessary gaps. Apply the 24-Hour Cancellation Policy with consistency and professionalism, including late cancellation fees, no-show charges, and full client profile documentation. Process refunds, credits, voids, gift cards, and adjustments accurately and independently for routine situations. Complete the Weekly Review every week — financial summaries, payroll reports, follow-up call lists, and inventory sections, all in full.
INVENTORY CONTROL
Receive, count, label, and stock inventory weekly. Physical counts must match Boulevard — always. Execute biweekly product orders across all vendors with accuracy: Masello, Innersense, Salon Centric, Paramount, Tangle Teezer, Woven Royal, and Uline. Onboard new products into Boulevard and Wix correctly. Discontinue products cleanly. Process all exchanges and returns according to salon policy.
DAILY OPERATIONS & SALON STANDARDS
Execute opening and closing procedures fully, at the same standard every day, without oversight. Hold the operational environment together throughout the day — the front desk stays organized, issues are resolved in real time, and the team has what they need. Lead the daily apprentice task program: assign, check, and confirm completion to the Anita Kurl standard.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Someone who operates with ownership, not just task completion. You notice what needs to be done before being asked. A communicator who writes and speaks professionally, keeps notes current, and never leaves a client or colleague without follow-through. Detail-oriented and systems-minded. You retain information, follow multi-step procedures accurately, and understand why every step matters. Reliable, on time, and consistent. Our clients and team depend on this role to show up at the same standard every single day. Comfortable with technology. Boulevard proficiency is required within the first 90 days. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required from day one. Discreet and professional. This role handles sensitive client and financial information. Discretion is a condition of the job, not a bonus quality. Someone who understands that this role is not entry-level. The expectations are high because the impact is real.
COMPENSATION
This role pays $23.00 to $28.00 per hour. Starting rate is determined by demonstrated experience and is calibrated through our pre-screening, interview, and shadow day process. The top of the range is reserved for candidates with a proven track record of operating salon systems independently, completing weekly reconciliations accurately, and leading a small team. In addition to hourly pay, this role includes 10% commission on every retail product sold during your shift.
