The Assistant Spa Manager is a hands-on operational and people leader responsible for protecting the guest experience in real time while supporting the administrative and leadership needs of the Spa. This role increases on-the-floor leadership presence during peak demand and transition moments, reinforces service excellence, and ensures operational continuity aligned with Miraval's Life in Balance philosophy Duties and Responsibilities include: Operational & Guest Experience Leadership
  • Serve as leader-on-duty during peak guest volume periods and high-impact transition times
  • Ensure consistent service standards, service flow, and calm recovery across all spa environments
  • Lead real-time guest recovery efforts with warmth, confidence, and discretion
  • Support supervisors and frontline teams with immediate decision-making and escalation guidance
  • Promote moments of meaningful connection with guests, including celebration of positive experiences People Leadership & Support
  • Provide daily leadership presence and coaching support to Spa Supervisors and Leads
  • Assist with onboarding, training reinforcement, and professional development initiatives
  • Support performance management conversations in partnership with the Spa Leadership
  • Model Miraval service culture, professionalism, and leadership standards Administrative & Operational Support
  • Support labor alignment through review of schedules, staffing patterns, and peak coverage needs
  • Assist with timecard review, payroll accuracy support, and labor-related follow-up
  • Coordinate follow-up related to guest recovery, service incidents, and cross-departmentmunication
  • Support spa initiatives, programming launches, and continuous improvement projects

  • Previous spa, wellness, hospitality, or luxury service leadership experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a calm, guest-centered leadership style
  • Demonstrated ability to manageplex operational environments and real-time decision-making
  • Administrative aptitude including scheduling, payroll support, and cross-functional coordination
