Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Spa Manager is responsible for overall Spa Operations. Manages and supervises all areas of the spa, including its programs, services, hours of operation, facilities and staff. Coordinates the delivery of spa services including salon, skin care, fitness & wellness, massage, program coordinating, reservations, reception desk and locker room areas. Processes guest bills and collects payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card processing and accounting policies and procedures. Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items and safety hazards to management. Reports any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards and regulations to management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide accurate information about spa products and services Utilize, maintain and conduct inventory of supplies and products Maintain records as required by federal, state, local and company regulations Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner Responsible for time keeping of Spa employees and submitting accurate and prompt payroll. Strive to continually improve guest and associate satisfaction. Maximize the financial performance of the department. Manage spa associates including hiring, guiding, directing, developing, training, counseling, disciplining and evaluating. Establish spa staffing levels that correspond with business levels. Manages Spa controllable expenses such guest amenities, linen expense, professional salon products, plants, decorations and paper supplies to achieve or exceed budgeted goals. Ensures that regular on-going communication is happening in all areas of responsibility to create awareness of business objectives and communicates expectations, recognizing performance, and producing desired business results Identifies new products and product enhancements to remain competitive in the market. Work with Hotel management to build a strong relationship and a seamless guest service experience. Drive spa group sales by working with the Hotel teams and local area event planners. Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security and emergency procedures. Maintains cleanliness of spa and related areas and equipment. Perform general Spa duties, as needed. SKILLS & ABILITIES
To be successful in this role you must possess advanced conflict resolution skills and expert customer service skills. Ability to timely compile facts/figures, identify and investigate issues and resolve basic matters. Ability to appropriately interview, hire, schedule, motivate, train, monitor and address staff performance. Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, positive and efficient and applying the ability to improvise. Strong English communication skills are required, the ability to speak, listen, write and identify distress signs. Ability to operate a smart device, computer, calculator, phone and other office equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT
Inside:
Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. A job is considered "inside" if the worker spends approximately 75% or more of the time inside. Work is normally performed in an interior hotel environment. The exposure to hazards or physical risks requires following basic safety precautions and use of applicable protective equipment. While performing job duties, the associate speaks, listens, completes documents, processes requests and operates spa equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be regularly exposed to water. Work area contains exposure to chemicals such as acetone, formaldehyde, ethyl acetate, dibutyl phthalate and combinations of these chemicals. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy. Physical requirements include ability to frequently move around the hotel property; remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time; bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The job requires close vision with or without corrective lenses, ability to distinguish basic colors and shades; depth perception and peripheral vision.
Pay:
$24.00 - $27.00 per hour
