Business Manager

The Business Manager for Salon, Spa & MedSpa at OYESPA is responsible for overseeing the daily business operations of the salon while ensuring exceptional guest experiences, team performance, and operational efficiency. This role combines leadership, operations management, staff development, and revenue growth responsibilities. The Business Manager will lead the service team, monitor operational performance, and implement strategies to increase guest satisfaction, retention, and profitability. This individual will also serve as a key liaison between the ownership team and service providers while maintaining the high standards and wellness-focused culture of OYESPA. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can motivate teams, maintain operational excellence, and create an environment where both guests and staff thrive. Key Responsibilities Operations & Business Management Lead, monitor, and analyze the daily operations of the salon, spa, and medspa services. Ensure smooth service delivery and operational efficiency across all departments. Provide regular updates and operational reports to leadership regarding business performance. Ensure that salon equipment, tools, and treatment rooms are properly maintained and serviced. Team Leadership & Development Foster a positive, healthy, and professional team culture. Supervise, coach, and mentor service providers and front desk staff. Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, feedback, and development plans. Set clear performance expectations and individual goals aligned with company objectives. Ensure team members comply with company policies, procedures, and service standards. Staffing & Scheduling Manage staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for client demand. Recruit, interview, hire, and train new team members. Identify team strengths and development opportunities to maximize performance and growth. Guest Experience & Client Retention Ensure exceptional guest service and consistent service quality. Interact with guests to gather feedback regarding services and facility cleanliness. Monitor client retention data and identify opportunities to improve repeat visits. Support strategies to build the salon's client base and strengthen customer loyalty. Sales & Revenue Growth Identify opportunities to increase salon revenue and service productivity. Assist with implementing marketing campaigns, promotions, and events. Manage a promotional calendar to drive traffic, retail sales, and service bookings. Health, Safety & Compliance Enforce all health, safety, and sanitation standards required by the State of Minnesota. Ensure tools are properly sterilized and linens are cleaned according to regulations. Maintain adequate inventory levels of salon supplies and retail products. Ensure treatment areas and service stations meet cleanliness and safety standards. Service Leadership Lead by example by providing high-quality services to clients when appropriate. Support team members in delivering consistent and exceptional service experiences. Oversee staff providing all services across salon, spa, and medspa categories. Qualifications Current Minnesota Salon Manager License preferred but not required. Experience managing salon, spa, or wellness operations preferred. Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Ability to analyze operational performance and implement improvements. Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and service productivity tracking. Passion for wellness, beauty, and guest experience.
