Salon Coordinator/Receptionist

Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Salon Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our salon. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A passion for beauty and wellness is a plus! Duties Greet clients warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit. Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations using our POS system. Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating effective phone etiquette. Maintain an organized reception area, including merchandising and stocking retail products. Process payments accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures. Support salon staff by supervising activities when necessary and ensuring smooth operations. Utilize basic math skills for transactions and retail math for inventory management. Foster a positive environment by communicating effectively with both clients and team members. Ensuring the salon is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies, assisting with cleaning and laundry tasks Requirements Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a salon or retail setting. Familiarity with POS systems is essential; experience with cash handling is also required. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with clients. Experience in supervising staff is a plus but not mandatory. Knowledge of merchandising techniques and retail sales strategies is beneficial. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately.
