Position Summary The Industrial Seamstress will be responsible for preparing, alignment, and stitching various components to create finished goods. This role requires extensive experience operating industrial sewing equipment and a high comfort level handling diverse textiles—specifically heavy-duty materials like vinyl and highly elastic fabrics like spandex. Key Responsibilities Industrial Sewing:

Efficiently operate heavy-duty industrial sewing machines, sergers, and related equipment to assemble products according to design patterns.

Material Handling:

Professionally cut, align, and sew challenging materials, balancing the rigidity of vinyl with the high elasticity of spandex.

Quality Control:

Inspect raw materials for defects prior to sewing and perform ongoing quality checks on finished seams to ensure strength, durability, and visual consistency.

Pattern Adherence:

Read and accurately interpret production patterns, work orders, and measurement specifications.

Machine Maintenance:

Perform basic daily maintenance on assigned sewing machines, including re-threading, changing needles, adjusting tension, and reporting mechanical issues.

Workspace Organization:

Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations to maximize productivity and safety.

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

Proven experience as a seamstress or sewing machine operator in an industrial or commercial manufacturing environment is required.

Material Expertise:

Demonstrated ability working with diverse fabrics, specifically vinyl, leather, canvas, or stretch fabrics (spandex/lycra).

Technical Skill:

Deep understanding of industrial machine settings, needle sizes, and thread types appropriate for different materials. Attention to

Excellent hand-eye coordination and precision sewing skills to ensure straight lines, strong seams, and minimal waste.

Work Ethic:

Reliable, self-motivated, and able to maintain a steady pace to meet daily production goals.
