Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and skilled Experience Alterations Seamstress/Tailor to join our dynamic fashion retail team. In this role, you will be the go-to expert for customizing and perfecting garments to ensure our customers leave feeling confident and satisfied. Your expertise in garment construction, sewing techniques, and customer service will help create a memorable shopping experience. Responsibilities Perform alterations and repairs on a variety of garments, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and adjusting fit to meet customer specifications Consult with customers to understand their alteration needs and provide professional recommendations Use sewing machines and hand sewing techniques to execute precise garment modifications Ensure all alterations adhere to quality standards and garment construction principles Maintain a clean, organized workspace and manage multiple alteration requests efficiently Communicate clearly with customers about timing, pricing, and alteration details Assist with inventory management of sewing supplies and tools to ensure readiness for daily tasks Requirements Proven experience as an alterations seamstress or tailor within a fashion retail or similar environment Strong sewing skills with proficiency in operating sewing machines and hand sewing techniques Knowledge of garment construction and fitting adjustments Ability to interpret customer requests accurately and deliver high-quality results Basic math skills for measuring, calculating fabric needs, and pricing adjustments Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Familiarity with sewing machines, garment repair tools, and alteration procedures is essential Join us if you're eager to bring your sewing expertise into a vibrant retail setting where every stitch counts!
