The ideal candidate takes pride in their craft, works efficiently under deadlines, and delivers exceptional results on bridal and formal wear alterations. Responsibilities Perform alterations and fittings on bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, formal wear, and related garments Take accurate measurements and mark garments for alterations Hem, let out, take in, and reconstruct garments to achieve a precise, flattering fit Sew custom details, embellishments, and repairs as needed Operate sewing machines, overlock/serger machines, and other industry equipment safely and proficiently Maintain a clean, organized workstation and manage multiple orders simultaneously Meet turnaround deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards Communicate with clients professionally during fittings to understand their needs and preferences Work collaboratively with the bridal team to ensure a seamless client experience Requirements Proficient in sewing, including performing alterations on any garment type Knowledgeable in the operation of sewing machines, overlock/serger machines, and other sewing equipment Experience with bridal, formal, or couture garments preferred Ability to hand-sew with precision when required Must be able to communicate, read, and write proficiently in English Professional customer service skills with a warm, client-focused attitude Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively Prior experience in a bridal or alterations environment is a plus
