In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert garment fitting, adjustments, and repairs to ensure our customers leave feeling confident and satisfied. Your craftsmanship will help bring our customers' fashion visions to life, delivering exceptional service with precision and care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your sewing expertise while engaging with clients in a lively retail environment. Responsibilities Perform alterations, repairs, and customizations on a variety of garments including dresses, suits, trousers, and more Measure clients accurately using basic math skills to determine necessary adjustments Operate sewing machines efficiently and safely to execute precise stitching and garment construction Consult with customers to understand their needs, provide style advice, and ensure a perfect fit Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored Communicate clearly with clients about the scope of work, timelines, and any additional recommendations Keep detailed records of alterations performed for each customer for future reference Qualifications Proven experience in sewing, garment construction, or tailoring within a fashion retail setting or similar environment Proficiency with sewing machines and knowledge of various sewing techniques Strong customer service skills with the ability to listen carefully and communicate effectively Basic math skills for taking measurements and calculating adjustments accurately Knowledge of fashion trends and garment fitting principles is a plus Ability to stand for extended periods, work efficiently under pressure, and pay close attention to detail Join us as an Alterations Tailor and become a vital part of creating stylish, well-fitted garments that leave our customers feeling confident.
