Job Description
Tailor for Men's Menswear Retail Store Leonardo 5th Avenue, a leading menswear and formalwear brand, seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor for our Winter Park store location. The position provides expert garment alterations and fittings for our customers in an exceptional service experience environment. The role requires strong sewing skills, particularly for menswear garments, attention to detail, and ability to interact with customers in a retail environment. Key Responsibilities Perform professional alternations on men's and women's coats, pants, dress shirts and formalwear garments. Measure customers accurately to ensure adequate garment fit. Perform fittings on customers and adjust garments to clients' needs. Make adjustments on hems, sleeves, waist and other. Communicate professionally with customers and associates at all times. Keep high quality standards on alterations and in all sewing activities. Be responsible in attendance and calendar delivery dates. Maintain an organized, clean and efficient tailoring workspace. Inspect all garments to ensure high quality in results. Experience & Qualifications Previous experience as a tailor in men's apparel. Experience in men's suits and dress shirts alterations. Important knowledge on garment construction and fabrics. Experience and ability to work on industrial sewing equipment. Ability to work and commit to high quality craftsmanship. Able to manage multiple alteration orders and meet deadlines. Education, Skills & Abilities High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in tailoring, fashion or garment construction preferred. Experience working in a retail environment preferred. Able to stand and sit between varios periods of time.
