This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position paid on a per-job basis , not hourly. We provide a professional workspace, industrial sewing machines, pressing equipment, and a steady flow of alteration work. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, pays attention to detail, and can consistently deliver high-quality work. Responsibilities Alter men's and women's garments Hem trousers and jeans Taper pants Adjust waists and seats Shorten sleeves on dress shirts and suit jackets Take in or let out suit jackets Perform dress and formalwear alterations Conduct fittings and accurately pin garments Press and finish garments for delivery Maintain a clean and organized workspace Qualifications Previous tailoring or alteration experience required Experience working with suits, dress shirts, trousers, dresses, and formalwear preferred Ability to operate industrial sewing equipment Strong knowledge of garment construction and fit Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently
