Job Description
Job Overview Seeking a part-time skilled experience seamstress / presser that can work independently and is self motivated to assist with a wide range of formal or basic women's and men's alterations at a Dry Cleaners in the North Shore. As needed will multitask and press a variety of clothes. Portuguese speaking is plus Duties Operate pressing machines Inspect clothing items for defects, stains, or damages before pressing Ensure all garments are pressed neatly, properly folded, or hung as required by customer. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and pressing equipment Assist with laundry shirt pressing Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast paced environment. Assist as needed with pressing shirts, and different multi garments. Strong sewing and alterations skills Work independently Attention to detail and commitment to quality work Requirements Previous experience in-dry cleaning environment is preferred Knowledge of dry cleaning processes, laundry procedures, and garment care techniques Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Good attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under time constraints Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light loads as needed
