Job Summary:
The Trim Sewer Technician II will operate industrial sewing machines to sew products in accordance with company performance and quality standards. This role will perform independent project tasks and collaborate with customers and team members.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain sewing machines and related parts, including pattern plates, needles,presser feet, automatic cutting tools and blades.
- Read and interpret work orders and adjust machines and materials to match, including selectingfabric, thread, and needles, mounting necessary attachments and double-checking settingsbefore beginning a large run.
- Inspect and repair finished products as needed and make machine adjustments to compensatefor errors or quality issues.
- Record accurately the materials used, maintenance performed, and number of piecescompleted during each shift, keeping each of these metrics within target ranges.
- Attach elastic, cord, zippers, hooks, buttons, and other trimmings to sewn pieces according towork order instructions and diagrams.
- Troubleshoot basic machinery problems and request service or repairs. Education and Experience (required):
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of industrial sewing experience. Education and Experience (preferred):
- Experience in manufacturing.
- Experience working with Juki sewing machines. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (required):
- Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
- Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English.
- Good verbal and written communication skills. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (preferred):
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
