Responsibilities Measure, cut, sew, and alter garments with accuracy and care, ensuring high-quality finishes. Consult with customers to understand their alteration requests and provide expert recommendations. Use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to perform repairs, hemming, resizing, and custom modifications. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored. Collaborate with team members to manage workload efficiently during busy periods. Inspect finished garments for quality control, making adjustments as needed for perfect fit and finish. Communicate clearly with customers about timelines, procedures, and any additional alterations required. Schedule is flexible and team member will be able to work the hours that best suit their personal schedule! Requirements Proven experience in garment construction, sewing, or tailoring within a fashion retail or similar environment. Proficiency with sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques for various fabrics and garment types. Strong understanding of garment fitting, alterations, and repair processes. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, fabric cutting, and sizing adjustments. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and clear communication. Knowledge of fashion retail operations is preferred but not required. Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
