Alterations Tailor

Responsibilities Perform alterations on a variety of garments, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, resizing, and repairing clothing items. Consult with customers to understand their specific fitting needs and provide professional recommendations. Use sewing machines and other tailoring tools efficiently to execute precise alterations. Ensure all garments are constructed or altered according to high-quality standards and customer specifications. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and manage multiple alteration projects simultaneously. Communicate clearly with customers about the progress of their garments and any additional adjustments needed. Apply basic math skills to measure, calculate fabric requirements, and determine alteration dimensions accurately. Experience Prior experience working in fashion retail or a tailoring environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated sewing machine operation skills with proficiency in garment construction and alteration techniques. Strong knowledge of sewing, garment fitting, and fabric handling. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally. Basic math skills for measuring and calculating alterations precisely.
