Tailor/Seamstress

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tailor/Seamstress to join our dynamic fashion retail team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, altering, and repairing garments to meet high-quality standards and customer expectations. Your expertise in garment construction and sewing will ensure that each piece is crafted with precision and care. Responsibilities Measure clients accurately to ensure proper fit and comfort of garments Cut fabric according to patterns and specifications with precision Operate sewing machines efficiently to assemble and finish garments Alter and repair clothing items to meet customer requests and quality standards Collaborate with sales staff to understand customer needs and provide expert advice Maintain a clean, organized workspace and sewing equipment Ensure all garments meet safety, quality, and aesthetic standards before delivery Keep detailed records of alterations, repairs, and custom orders for future reference Experience Proven experience in garment construction, sewing, or tailoring within a retail or bespoke environment Familiarity with sewing machines, tools, and various fabrics Knowledge of fashion retail operations and customer service principles Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, fabric estimation, and adjustments Strong understanding of garment fitting, pattern reading, and sewing techniques Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity Prior experience working with diverse fabrics and clothing styles is preferred If you possess a passion for fashion craftsmanship combined with excellent customer service skills, we encourage you to apply.
