Responsibilities Alter and tailor bridal gowns to fit each bride perfectly, ensuring comfort and style. Use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to construct, modify, or repair garments with precision. Collaborate with clients and staff to understand specific design requests and provide expert advice on fit and fabric choices. Manage garment construction from initial measurements through final fitting, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship. Maintain a clean, organized workspace with all sewing tools and materials readily accessible. Follow safety procedures when operating sewing machines and other equipment to prevent accidents. Keep detailed records of alterations, measurements, and customer preferences for seamless service delivery. In store Monday to Friday with evening hours. Experience Bridal seamstress experience is a must, Proven experience in fashion retail or garment construction, preferably specializing in bridal wear or formal attire. Strong sewing skills with proficiency in operating sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques. Knowledge of garment construction principles and fabric handling. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and understand their vision. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, pattern adjustments, and fabric estimations. Familiarity with using a sewing machine safely and maintaining sewing tools in optimal condition.
