We are looking for an experienced seamstress / garment alteration specialist to assist with blouse alterations, hemming, garment repairs, corset/tie-string backs, zipper repairs, and general sewing work for Indian and South Asian formalwear inventory. This role will initially begin as a project-based position requiring potentially near full-time hours for approximately 2 to 3 weeks to complete a large batch of inventory preparation and alterations. After the initial project period, work will transition into an ongoing as-needed basis, likely around 1 to 2 times per month depending on inventory and production needs. The position is based in-house at our Irvine warehouse/office. Work will be done using an industrial sewing machine, specifically a Juki

DDL-8700.

Experience using industrial sewing machines is required. Experience with Indian/South Asian garments such as lehengas, sarees, sherwanis, and bridalwear is preferred but not required. Responsibilities Blouse alterations and adjustments Hemming lehengas, gowns, and skirts Garment repairs and fixing small tears/holes Sewing corset/tie-string backs Zipper repairs and replacements Adding tassels, dori strings, hooks, and finishing details General sewing and garment preparation work Maintaining quality and consistency across inventory Requirements Prior sewing and garment alteration experience Experience using industrial sewing machines is required Strong attention to detail Ability to work efficiently and independently Reliable and punctual Comfortable working in an in-house warehouse/workspace environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with bridalwear or formalwear alterations Experience working with delicate fabrics, embroidery, and embellishments Schedule Initial project may require near full-time hours for approximately 2-3 weeks Ongoing work afterward will be scheduled on an as-needed basis Work Environment In-house warehouse/workspace environment Equipment and materials provided Industrial sewing machine provided onsite
