We are seeking a Junior Seamstress / Fitter to join our dedicated, highly skilled, and supportive team. This is a great opportunity to grow within a fast-paced and rewarding industry, working closely with brides during one of the most meaningful times in their lives. About the
Role:
The Junior Seamstress / Fitter will assist with fittings and alterations, collaborate with our Seamstress Manager and alterations team, and help ensure that every gown is beautifully prepared for each bride. The role includes client interaction, working with seamstresses and advocating for brides, pinning for alterations, schedule coordination, press and detailing gowns, and general support throughout the alterations process. Light alterations and accessory sales will be expected, with tasks assigned according to your current skill level and the time you've spent in the role. Training and shadowing will be provided. While prior alterations or tailoring experience is needed, we are prioritizing looking for someone who brings strong communication skills, professionalism, and a willingness to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with fittings and support the alterations team in delivering exceptional service Advocate for each bride by ensuring her gowns pressing and alterations are completed to company standards Manage and maintain alterations scheduling Press, steam, and prepare gowns with great attention to detail Move and handle dresses (up to 20 lbs) Maintain clear communication with team members and clients Manage escalated situations with clients and bring in management when necessary Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative environment Answer phones and assist with general client communication Support accessory sales and light alterations (tasks will align with your skill set and experience level) Assist with gown repairs and tailoring as appropriate
Qualifications:
Understanding of alterations and tailoring (bridal experience is a plus) Excellent communication, time-management, and organizational skills Professional demeanor and customer service mindset Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Comfortable lifting and moving gowns Willingness to learn new skills and grow with the company Why Work at
