Your expertise in sewing, garment construction, and alterations will help us deliver exceptional service and elevate our customers' shopping experience. Responsibilities Perform garment alterations including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, resizing, and repairing clothing items with precision and care Use sewing machines efficiently to complete alterations quickly while maintaining high quality standards Consult with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on garment adjustments Ensure all alterations meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and fit Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper handling of sewing tools and materials Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of all customer requests Keep detailed records of alterations performed for quality control and customer service purposes Requirements Proven experience in sewing, garment construction, or tailoring within a retail or professional environment Strong knowledge of sewing machines, techniques, and garment fitting principles Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Basic math skills for measuring fabric and garments accurately Familiarity with fashion retail operations is a plus but not mandatory A passion for fashion, craftsmanship, and helping customers look their best Join us as a Seamstress Tailor Sewist Alterations Specialist and bring your sewing expertise to life!
