Job Description
Overview Outlaw Ink is seeking a reputable and established tattoo artist. Outlaw Ink is owned by a tattoo artist of 40+ years, and managed by a tattoo artist of 9+ years. Outlaw Ink currently does not take walk ins due to the primary artist rarely having the availability to do so, and even so, we still get calls asking for walk-in appointments. Walk-ins would be available and prioritized to you, and walk in availability can be advertised if would want to take on more walk ins. Our shop owners role is primarily behind the scenes, while our shop manager takes care of the day-to-day. With a flexible schedule build your own hours and either work similar hours as our primary artist, Wednesday-Saturday, work independently, Sunday-Tuesday, or a mixture of both. Salary Salary is commission based with no booth rental required. Percentages and supplies provided can be negotiated and discussed. Responsibilities Collaborate with clients to understand their tattoo ideas, preferences, and desired outcomes Design unique tattoo concepts using illustration skills and color theory knowledge Prepare the workspace by ensuring all equipment and surfaces meet strict sanitation standards Keep a clean, sanitary and tidy environment as well as contribute to keeping common areas clean Maintain clear communication throughout the process, providing guidance and reassurance Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary Self manage appointments and bookings Requirements Proven experience in tattooing with a strong portfolio demonstrating artistic skill and technical proficiency Red Cross Bloodborne Pathogens Certification Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members Ability to perform first aid if needed, ensuring client safety at all times, First Aid & CPR is not required, but strongly encouraged Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor Proficiency in illustration or drawing to develop custom tattoo designs Join us in creating meaningful body art while delivering exceptional client experiences!
