Scope:
Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the position is responsible for the manufacturing of electric and non-electric signage. Custom Sign Fabricator/Manufacturer will be responsible for building high-end as well as custom signs for banks, hospitals, retail centers, etc. Also responsible for building channel letter, pylon signs, wall signs and other custom structures.
Functions:
Aluminum/Steel welding 2. Channel letter fabrication 3. Sheet metal fabrication 4. Cutting 5. Routing 6. Shearing 7. Breaking metals (aluminum and steel) to make custom signs of all shapes and sizes 8. Wiring electric sign cabinets 9. Able to fabricate from basic drawings independently 10. Able to operate forklifts and rigging and all types of shop tools 11. Able to use fabrication shop tools including grinders, cutting torches, drill presses, hand drills, pipe threading machine torch, etc. 12. Be able to read and interpret sketches and specifications of custom designs
Skill Requirements:
Must be able to work in a team environment 2. Applicants MUST have previous sign or similar fabricating experience. 3. Must be organized and know how to maintain equipment 4. Should possess good math and analytical skills 5. Need to have excellent manual dexterity and should be able to work with small, detailed objects 6. Must be able to do basic electrical wiring, welding and torching 7. Knowledge of vinyl application is helpful but not necessary. 8.Self-starters who work with a sense of urgency, keeping deadlines and quality in mind 9. Drug Test Compensation:
We offer a comprehensive benefit package including health, dental, and a 401(k) plan. Sick, vacation and holiday pay. Pay will be commensurate with experience and ability.
