The Vansmith is Colorado's foremost adventure van building company, headquartered in Boulder, CO. As a rapidly expanding entrepreneurial enterprise, we specialize in crafting custom adventure vans and are recognized as trailblazers in the outdoor industry. We are currently seeking an entry level Van Builder (Tech 0) to join our team. This entry-level role is designed for someone eager to learn and able to bring their energy. The ideal candidate will be diligent, safe, possess a willingness to learn, and have attention to detail. If you are eager to start a career in the van conversion industry, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
Ability to quickly learn and be deliver with high quality and productivity: Wrap panels with foam and fabric. Apply insulation materials. Measure, cut, and install flooring accurately. Install wall panels and ceilings. Perform carpentry work, including cabinet assembly Perform rough wiring, including interpreting wire sizes and identifying wire locations. Install exterior accessories - e.g., bumpers, side steps, etc. Install water systems, including faucets, sinks, and gray water systems. Complete the installation of trim work. Electrical install not critical to this role
Attributes :
Prefer a clean driving record with 5+ years of driving experience (to be given driving duties) Basic knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques and procedures. Proficiency in basic math skills. Must be at least 18 years old.
Education and Experience:
No previous van experience necessary On-the-job training provided High school preferred
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing Physically capable of performing assigned tasks Ability to lift up to 40 pounds at a time

Positive attitude and proactive in helping make the company better Ability to integrate into a dynamic team environment
