We accept work on a wide variety of projects from simple repairs and one-off projects all the way up to multi-story structural steel, and everything in between. We are seeking a highly skilled, reliable, and motivated fabricator with experience in fabricating custom handrails, gates, misc. architectural metals as well as performing misc. repairs on a wide variety of items. The Ideal candidate is self-motivated and eager to excel at their job. This is not an entry level position; we need someone with experience building custom handrail straight, on angles, as well as curved. You must be able to measure a job, layout angles, know proper sequence for building and test fitting.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Must be dependable and willing and able to work 40 hours a week. Knowledge of MIG, TIG and Stick welding procedures and able to pass MIG welding certification test. Ability to read and build off of blueprints/shop drawings. Experience operating a variety of forklifts, material lifts, etc. Must work well with others as well as independently. Excellent communication skills to communicate and coordinate between office and co-workers. Ability to think ahead and plan to ensure timely and efficient installations. Maintain accurate records (time logs) as required. Patience and willingness to teach others. A person who shows consistency of these skills will be eligible for growth within the company. Hours required are Monday-Friday. Hours will fluctuate roughly between 7:30am-5pm. Overtime is occasionally required. We do not work weekends.
