With over 81 years of dedicated service, we specialize in high-quality automotive upholstery and interior restoration, serving a diverse clientele with craftsmanship and precision. Job Summary We are seeking an apprentice automotive upholstery technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring and customizing vehicle interiors by expertly working with upholstery materials, tools, and sewing equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, proficiency with hand and power tools and a passion for auto restoration. This paid position offers an opportunity to contribute to our tradition of excellence in automotive interior craftsmanship. Monday - Friday 8:00 to 4:30 One hour consistent lunch break from 12:00 to 12:30 Duties Measure, cut, and prepare upholstery materials according to vehicle specifications and customer requirements Operate sewing machines and hand tools to assemble and upholster vehicle seats, door panels, headliners, and other interior components Remove old or damaged upholstery with precision to facilitate repairs or replacements Use power tools safely to install new upholstery components and secure trim effectively Collaborate with team members during assembly processes to ensure quality standards are met Assist in the manufacturing of custom interior parts for auto restoration projects Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times Requirements Must be mechanically inclined, reliable, punctual, able to lift heavy objects and get into small spaces and must have good communication skills. Must be cautious, neat, quiet, humble, smart, respectful, have a good temperment and attention to detail, cautious, a quick learner and not afraid to ask questions. You must be able to shadow and assist other trimmers. Familiarity with automotive manufacturing or auto restoration processes not required Must provide own tools and operate them safely and efficiently Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise work Knowledge of assembly techniques for automotive interiors Ability to interpret measurements and work from technical drawings or specifications Prior experience working with auto upholstery materials such as vinyl, leather, or fabric is preferred but not required Valid Florida drivers licence If you are motivated by craftsmanship, eager to develop your skills in auto restoration, and committed to delivering exceptional quality, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
